The purpose of NAMI Hearts+Minds is to help you understand the interconnection of mental health and physical health – and what you can do to improve both.

You will walk away with:

  • An understanding of how mental and physical health are interconnected.
  • Tools to help you advocate for your health with your treatment providers.
  • Information on why and how conditions can occur together.
  • An understanding of how nutrition and physical activity can be used to your advantage.
  • Effective tools for managing and improving your mental and physical health.
  • A greater sense of control over how you feel.

When: 

Session 1: Mental Health is Physical Health, Medical Self-Advocacy, Mental Illness and Comorbidities

  • Tuesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Session 2: Chronic Pain, Managing Medications, Kicking the Habit

  • Wednesday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
