Astera Health will host its 38th Annual EMS Night program on Tuesday, March 11, from 5-9 p.m. at Karvonen’s Funeral Home in Wadena. This event will be hybrid with YouTube Livestream option for those attending virtually. Registration is required for everyone – to assist with food ordering and logging continuing education hours. EMS Personnel:
First responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency room nurses, emergency medical service educators, and emergency personnel from fire and police departments are encouraged to attend.
This four-hour program is designed to provide education for personnel in the EMS system.
Credits
This program meets the criteria for continuing education established by the National Registry of EMTs for three continuing education hours. This course has been approved by the Peace Officers Standards and Training Board (POST) for continuing education credit. Officers are expected to keep a record of the continuing education courses they have attended and be able to verify their attendance. Online registration is required to receive credit for the three continuing education hours (register here). Training vendors are encouraged to give officers a certificate of completion or other proof of completion for the officers’ records. The proof of completion must contain the name of the training provider, course title, instructor name, date, and hours attended.
