What inspired you to get into medicine?
My love for children and desire to work with them. I also love helping people as a service to others and have a genuine love and affection for people.
What has been your favorite part of working in the medical field?
The variety of lives I have been a part of and the honor of being part of bringing a new life into the world. I have also loved the opportunity to work with amazing individuals from different walks of life.
What is the most important factor in a patient/provider relationship?
Trust. I need to trust that my patients are genuinely interested in getting well and thus will be honest and forthright with me. My patients need to trust that I have their best interest at heart.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
I like shopping (what woman doesn’t?). In addition to that, I love a good book, like to travel, dance and keep fit (running, weight lifting, etc.). I’ve completed three marathons.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
I have a wacky (translation: crazy!) personality and sense of humor.
