What inspired you to get into medicine?
I wanted to be challenged with something different every day and feel like what I was doing would make a difference. I wanted to work with people, and medicine seemed to bring it all together.
What do you enjoy most about working in medicine?
I really enjoy getting to know my patients and their families and helping them live the fullest life they can!
What can patients expect from you when coming in for an appointment?
I will listen. I may not always be able to help in the way they want but they will know I listened and we will work together to find the best outcome.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
A perfect day outside of work would include a nice steak on the grill with a cold drink in hand looking over my freshly mowed lawn. It would end with a nice fire and the company of friends and family.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
Every year during deer hunting, my family hunts and camps outdoors in a canvas tent in November. I’ve been going since about age 10. There’s no cell phone service or other towns for 20 miles in some directions. You need to know how to get along in the woods if you get lost.
