Background

I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Davenport, IA in 2015. I practiced in Holland, MI and Kalamazoo, MI working for other chiropractors for a while but knew I wanted to return to Minnesota. In 2017, my husband, Nick and I opened our own practice in Perham. Since we came back to Minnesota, I have wanted to work at Astera, so I was very excited to introduce chiropractic here. We have a daughter, Piper; son, Odin; one dog, two cats, and six chickens to keep us busy.

What inspired you to get into medicine?

I was initially inspired to help my dad. He would bring me to his chiropractic appointments and talk about how much better he'd feel after. Working full time and farming didn't allow a lot of free time so he couldn’t get adjusted as often as he would've liked. By the sixth grade, I was determined to become a chiropractor to take care of my dad anytime he wanted. My true knowledge and passion came later. After diving into the science and function of the human body, then applying it and seeing the results, I have become passionate about helping everyone live life to their fullest capacity. Now, I'm continuously inspired by every person I get the opportunity to treat.

Why did you choose Astera Health?

I grew up here. My dad was born at Wesley Hospital, I was born at Tri-County Hospital, my daughter was born at Tri-County Health Care, and my son was born at Astera Health. I think it’s neat that our family has a connection through all the changes Astera has undergone. I have lived in larger cities, but nothing beats rural Minnesota.

What do you like to do outside of work?

DIY, painting, being outside, puzzles, fixing things, reading, cooking, baking, organizing, playing with my kids, and spending time with family.

What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people do not know about you?

I'm a huge fan of Rupaul's Drag Race and sushi.
