Background

Madi and her husband, Conner, have a son, Clyde, and live near Sebeka. She is a graduate of Sebeka High School and grew up outside of town. They are excited to be back in the area near family and friends. Madi has worked for the State of Minnesota in Bemidji, Anoka, and Wadena. She has also worked as a family therapist for Wadena County Human Services and partnered with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe as a therapist at their Ne-ia-shing clinic.

What inspired you to get into medicine?

After working in the mental health/social services field, I wanted to make a greater difference in improving patients' mental health by providing therapy care directly.

Why did you choose Astera Health?

I chose Astera Health because I was interested in working locally and serving the community I grew up in. I am a Sebeka native and have received care at Astera Health throughout my life. I am now looking forward to being part of a team that provides great mental health care to people who live around here.

What are some off-duty interests and activities you enjoy?

Outside of work, I enjoy visiting with my family and friends, taking walks, trying new recipes, and staying caught up on my reality TV shows.

What is one interesting, unique, or fun thing that most people do not know about you?

I love to travel when I can and spent a summer studying abroad in China in college.
