What inspired you to get into medicine?
I started as an RN working on a medical/surgical floor. Three years later, I decided to pursue my master’s and started working as a family nurse practitioner. I have always enjoyed meeting new people, helping people learn about health and empowering them to make healthy choices.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
I am married and have two daughters. We enjoy riding bikes and playing in the lake in the summer. In the winter, we follow our girls’ school and after-school activities. We also have a lot of family that like to visit us here in Minnesota.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
I can play the piano, but stage fright keeps me from playing for anyone but my family.
