What inspired you to get into medicine?
The complexity of the human body and the ever-changing medical advancements intrigues me. The medical field allows me to continually learn and grow as a person and provider.
Why did you choose Astera Health?
I worked at Astera Health as an emergency room technician and orthopedic scribe, where I was able to be part of the organization's family. I also completed several rotations at Astera as a student and was pleased with how well everyone worked together, and it made me feel welcomed. I was excited when I was offered a job at such a great place and to work with wonderful people.
What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
I love to be outdoors doing almost any type of activity: running, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, going on picnics, lake-time, camping, and just adventuring with my family. I also like to read, play board games, and do puzzles.
What is one interesting, unique, or fun thing that most people do not know about you?
I used to be afraid of heights, but now I love cliff-jumping and zip-lining. I plan to go skydiving in the future.
