Background

I was a registered nurse for six years in long-term care, medical-surgical nursing and emergency department. I have also been employed as a nurse practitioner in hospice, palliative and primary care. I’m married to my husband, Aaron. I love animals! We have five dogs - Wiley, Ruby, Cinder, Willow and Eva. I also have two horses, Merit and Belle.

What inspired you to get into medicine?

I grew up in a small town and my mom works as a nursing assistant at the local nursing home. I would often spend a lot of time with her there. This sparked my interest in caring for others.

Why did you choose Astera Health?

The culture and the people! I completed my clinical hours with Astera and I fell in love with everything the organization stands for.

What do you like to do in your downtime?

I enjoy competing with my horses in barrel racing and spending time outdoors with my dogs.

What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?

I compete all over the tri-state area in rodeos & barrel races.
