Request Volunteers

At Astera Health, active community engagement is one of our strategic goals. We believe volunteerism helps strengthen our communities and improve health for all. To support this work, Astera Health staff now receive four paid volunteer hours each year. Organizations and community groups may request volunteer support for events or activities that align with our mission and availability.

Request guidelines and limitations

Please confirm your request fits within Astera Health’s volunteer policy.

Approved opportunities may include:

Nonprofit organizations, schools, or community groups that support health and wellness
Community health fairs, screenings, or educational events
Board or committee service with organizations connected to health care or public health
Community initiatives endorsed by Astera Health leadership

We are not able to support:

Political campaigns or lobbying activities
Religious activities intended to promote a specific faith
For-profit business activities
Opportunities that may create a conflict of interest or reputational risk for Astera Health

Approved volunteer opportunities will be added to a hub where they may find information on signing up.

Access to healthcare and preventive services Community education, safety, and wellness Community recreation/sports coaching, assistance, etc. Healthy children, families, and aging populations Mental and behavioral health Obesity, Hypertension, or Substance Use Disorder Prevention events or activities Representing Astera at parades or other community events
