What inspired you to get into medicine?
I have always been intrigued by the complexity of the human body. Early on, I knew a career in the scientific field was right for me. It wasn't until I experienced health issues of my own that I saw myself serving in the medical field. The many providers and medical staff that I encountered really left an impression on me. I chose orthopedics because of the direct impact our bones and joints have on our quality of life. I think it is so neat that we get to play an integrative role in peoples' everyday lives.

What do you like to do in your downtime?
I love to spend time with my family! I also enjoy going to the lake and outdoors. I am always up for a long walk or live music.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
My right lingual nerve (the nerve that gives your tongue feeling and temperature sensation) is a cadaver nerve!
