What inspired you to get into medicine?
I was very interested in my early courses in anatomy and physiology. I thought it was very amazing the way the human body could work. I thought that learning more and using that knowledge to help people would be a fun and rewarding career.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
I love to watch my kids grow. Grow in their knowledge, sports, activities, etc. We enjoy traveling to ski and other activities. I also serve as a medical adviser where I conduct anti-doping testing for the International Skating Federation.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
I grew up on a beef cattle ranch in North Dakota.
