What inspired you to get into medicine?
One of the great things about being in the medical and nursing field is having the chance to impact people positively. Now, as a nurse practitioner, I can expand my experience and practice in the communities Astera serves.
What do you enjoy most about working in the medical field?
I enjoy the daily interactions that I get to have with people of the community. I find it very rewarding to be able to help make people feel better.
Why did you choose Astera Health?
Astera Health has a real family feel to it. I have developed excellent working relationships with the physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and other staff. They are very welcoming and one of the nicest groups of people I have ever met. I also want to continue to be an asset to the community I grew up in and help the people who influenced me throughout my life.
What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places. I love a good sci-fi or fantasy novel and spending time outdoors.
What is an interesting, unique or fun thing that most people do not know about you?
I really enjoy trivia and other nerdy pursuits. I love learning new things and challenging myself in new endeavors.
