What inspired you to get into medicine?
I always had a knack for science and math and loved learning about the intricacies of the human body. I focused on biology and chemistry in college and trained as an operating room specialist in the United States Air Force. This experience inspired me to continue my medical education through graduate school as a physician assistant.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
I am a Minnesota girl at heart, but love to travel. Reading truly is fundamental, and I always have a book on hand. My husband would say my greatest gift is finding a sale. I prefer to call it retail therapy. I love to play softball and have been playing with some teammates for 20 years.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
I am a sucker for zombies (weird, I know). I love horror movies/TV shows, and I am a huge fan of the zombie genre.
