Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are crystalized minerals that form in the kidneys. This typically occurs from a lack of hydration, poor diet, and obesity. These often cause extreme pain and discomfort in patients which can result in a need for surgery. Dr. E-Nunu is all too familiar with kidney stones, and many of her consultations focus on diagnosing and removing them.

According to Dr. E-Nunu, drinking water is the number one thing a person can do to stave off the formation of kidney stones. Keeping the body hydrated and the kidneys flushed goes a long way to preventing minerals from building up. She also focuses on diet and exercise as a way to prevent kidney stones. She enjoys doing this because not only will it prevent kidney stones, but it also has a positive effect on the rest of the body.

For Men and Women

Many people attribute urology to women’s health issues. However, urology focuses on both genders. Incontinence and kidney-related issues can affect everyone. Urologists also address issues stemming from low testosterone and erectile dysfunction.
